HEOS by Denon provides numerous opportunities for deploying a wireless "Whole-House music System quickly and without the need to run any expensive audio speaker cables. the monkier "Wireless" refers to the fact that all of the offerings connet via Wi-Fi and or a hardwired Ethernet cable.
The process is fairly straightforward and goes something like this:
- Download the free HEOS App
- Connect your speaker(s) to your Network wirelessly or hardwired
- Add "Devices" (speakers/HEOS Link or HEOS Amp) to the HEOS platform...the App will auto-magically find every connected speaker
- Create an HEOS Account
- Link any Streaming Services to the HEOS APP
- Done other than doing any desired custom Favorite Channels setup
- Enjoy!
The HEOS speakers can be used individually or as Stereo pairs. HEOS provides a good, better, More-Better and Most Bestest approach with HEOS. I can personally attest to the sound quality of these units in a single speaker configuration. They utilize bi-amplification with electronic crossovers for a very dynamic sound stage.
For those seeking a TV Sound solution, the HEOS SoundBar, with or without a separate sub-woofer is the way to go. Their latest soundbar offering can be deployed as a standalone 3.0 system or as a complete 5.1 surround sound system by adding a sub-woofer and rear channel speakers.
